Home again! And here's a travel quiz for you...

Just for fun.  And no cheating, those of you who already know where we went.  I thought it might be fun to offer up a little travel quiz.  I'll give you two photos of each destination from our Mediterranean Cruise, and the first person to guess them all wins!  Wins what, you ask?  Absolutely nothing.  Just the satisfaction of being a super travel sleuth.

So, here goes...

Destination #1:

Destination #2:

Destination #3:

Destination #4:

(Hint: This building was once a library!)

Destination #5:

Destination #6:

As you can see, we had an amazing trip.  It is nice to be home, though!

  1. Sorry if you've now had four comments from me floating around cyberspace, Darla! I've tried commenting here from Firefox and it wasn't working at all, so I've switched to Chrome and hopefully that will work. Here's the gist of what I said again:

Welcome home! I am embarrassed to admit that I don't think I can get any of those destinations, other than saying something like "Greece" and "Italy" which hardly seems fair given that you've already said "Mediterranean"! But looks like you had a wonderful time. I'd love to know more about that fascinating church in the second photo...

  2. Oooh, this sounds like fun! Here are my guesses:
    #1-Spain... Barcelona?
#6-I have no idea! I'm going to guess Cairo???

  3. AnonymousMay 13, 2011

1.Barcelona (it says in the photo =P)
5.Turkey! (the flag gives it away)
    6.Somewhere in Greece?

  4. Thanks for weighing in on this one! The answers are:
    1. Barcelona
    2. Rome
    3. Athens
    4. Ephesus
    5. Istanbul
    6. Malta

So the super travel sleuth award is a tie between Sharry and Heidenkind. Thanks for playing! :-) We were actually supposed to go to Cairo, but because of the political situation there, they switched the itinerary to Istanbul, which was a fascinating place to visit, too.

Kiirstin - the church in the last photo is amazing. It is Saint John's Co-Cathedral in Malta. You can read more about it here.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment!
